We are monitoring two days with a potential severe weather threat
TUESDAY: Heavy rain and localized flooding will be the primary threat on Tuesday. The timing of the heavy rain will roll through during the Tuesday evening commute so plan for a wet and slow commute. There is a threat for isolated strong storms southeast of I-85. Damaging wind and an isolated tornado are possible – the threat is low, but not zero.
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: Damaging wind and isolated tornadoes will be the primary threats with wave 2 that will roll through late Wednesday into early Thursday. The rain with this round will not be widespread like Tuesday, but the isolated severe weather threat is a bit higher – a level 2 out of 5.
We are in the middle of severe weather season here in the Carolinas so everyone needs to have a severe weather safety plan in place.
