THE DRIED FRUIT. LOOK OUTSIDE AS WE’RE STARTING OFF THE DAY. IT’S PRETTY CHIYLL OUT THERE, BUT IT’S DRY ALL THROUGHTOU THE FORECAST AREA. THAT’S A DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY WHERE WE HAD SNOW SHOWERS IN THE MOUNTAINS. WE’VE GOT A COUPLE OF CLOUDS HERE AND THEREUT B NOT TOO BAD 39 DEGREES RIGHT NOW IN WINSTON-SALEM 37 IN GREENSBORO 41 IN MARTINSVILLE 34 IN GALAX. WE’VEOT G FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN SOME SPOTS. WE’VE GOT FROSTY’S CONDITIONS AND OTHER SPOTS. WE’R’ BEING SPARED FROM THE WORST OF THE FROST TODAY BECAUSE WE’VE GOT SOME WIND OUT THERE IN THE 5 TO 10 MEIL PER HOUR RANGE, BUT OF COURSE WIND IN THE 5 TO 10 MILE PER HOUR RANGE IS ENOUGH TO CAUSE WINDCHILL SO IT FEELS LIKE 30 DEGREES IN GREENSBORO 32 IN LEXINGTON 28 IN GALAX. SO LOTS OF SPOTS BELOW FREEZING 30 IN BURLINGTON THERE AT THIS POINT ANOTHER SPOT’S CLOSE. SO MAKE SURE YOU BUNDLE UP MAKE SURE YOU PLAN A FEW EXTRA MINUTES IN CASE YOU DO HAVE SOME FROST ON THE WINDSHIELD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU D’O’T HAVE THOSE TWINS INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE HAVE WINDS 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR. I ADD IN THE MOUNTAINS THE FOOTHILLS WINS FIVE TO TEN MILES PER HOUR SUNNY SKIES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND WE’RE ABOUT 10 DEGREES WARMER THAN WE WERE YESTERDAY EVEN A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN 10 DEGREES YESTERDAY IS HIGH IN THE TRIAD WAS 52. THE MOUNTAINS WILL GET TO 54 THE TRIAD WILL GET TO 65 TODAY. HERE’S A LKOO AT OUR FIRE DANGER THOUGH. THIS IS KIND OF THE DOWNSIDE IF YOU’RE HOPING TO GET OUTSIDE AND DO SOME YARD WORK TODAY IF YOU’RE DOING ANYTHING THAT COULD IGNITE A SPARK I WOULD AVOID DOING SO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ALL THE AREA SHADED AND YELLOW A HIGH. YOUR DANGER THAT’S PRIMALYRI BECAUSE OF THE WIND BUT ALSO BECAUSE IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE’VE HAD SUBSTANTIAL RAIN HAD A COUPLE OF DRIZZLE YSESTERDAY, BUT NOTHING THAT REALLY HELPED US OUT WHIT THAT DRY FUEL. SO THE BELU HERE IS A MODERATE THREAT. THAT MEANS THAT YOU CAN DO THINGS THAT CAUSES SPARK, BUT YOU HAVE TO WHAS THEM REALLY CLOSELY BECAUSE SLLTI LIKELY TO SPREAD RAPIDLY AS WEAD H THROUGH THE NEXT 12 HOURS TEMPERATURES GET TO THE MID 60S IN THE TRIAD WINDS 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR WITH A BREEZY START EVEN THE FOOTHILLS TEMPERATURES GETTING INTO THE MID 60S. MILD WITH WINDS 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR LOTS OF SUN TODAY PLENTY OF SUN. WE’VE GOT THOSE CLOUDS OUT THERE NOW, BUT EVEN BY LATE MORNING, EYTH’RE GONE IN THE MOUNTAINS TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 50S. WE 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR SUNNY SKIES THROUGHOUT THE DAY. IT’S A PRETTY NICE AFTERNOON AFTER A COLD START HERE ON YOUR SUNDAY AS WE GET THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WE’LL BE WATCHING AS WE STAY DRY FOR THE MOST PART UNTIL THURSDAY. THIS IS A STORM. YOU’RE GOING TO HEAR A LOT ABOUT AS WE HEAD INTO THE MIDDLE PART OF THE WEEK. IT’S EXPECTED TO YOUR WEATHER FROM TEXAS ALL THE WAY TO IOWA AND THEN IT’S HEADED TOWARDS US BUT OUR INDICATIONS ARE THAT AT THIS POINT. W’RE’ NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING INCREDIBLY SEVERE. SO HERE’S A LOOK. IT’LL LIKELY JUST BE SCATTERED SHOWERS FOR US. MAYBE THE RUMBLE OF THUERND OCCASIONALLY, MAYBE A STRONG STORM. BUT AT THIS POINT IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE BEING SPARED FROM THE SEVERE THREAT. TODAY IS SUNDAY THOUGH. THIS IS HAPPENING ON THURSDAY A LOCK CAN STILL CHANGE BY THEN. SO THURSDAY IS ABSOLUTELY OUR DAY TO WCHAT AS WE HEAD THROUGH. SEVEN-DAY FORECAST. THAT’S OUR IMPACT DAY. NO MATTER WTHA BECAUSE OF THE RAIN AND BECAUSE OF THAT THREAT OF SOME THUNDER AND LIGHTNING AND OF COURSE, WE’LL BE KEEPING YOU UPDATED ON THAT SEVERE THREAT TO PAY BEFORE I LET YOU GO. TAKE A LOOK ATHO TSE 80S ON MONDAY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, THAT’S THE PLUS PLUS SIDE OF THIS FORECAST. FROM THE GREAT RESIGNATION TO THE GREAT SHUFFLE.
